Back to the scheduled programming. I’m not crazy about this temp new look, but it’ll do for now. Thanks again for the nice comments about ReCycle. Your kind words kept me from knocking on my neighbor’s door and fishing for compliments. In return, the pattern, in which I detail how it’s all done.
Actually I don’t detail it here, you’ll have to download the file. The process is bit too long to fit nicely into a blog entry. So I set up a little box.net thingy on the right side-bar and you can download the instructions for ReCycle. My first free pattern! I’m so excited. Enjoy.
I explain the cast-on, why the stitch count quadruples and why there are three twists in exhaustive detail. Plus there’s pictures! There’s some stuff about double knitting too. And for the the less intrepid a chart to just knit the thing flat. (But really, where’s the fun in that?) It’s in PDF format so you’ll need a pdf reader. You can find one here, if you need it. If you try it let me know what you think. It’s my first pattern using my new pattern and chart system so feedback is appreciated. I set it up so that it will print out on the back and front of a page for easy reference, but you should be able to magnify it quite easily in a PDF reader for greater legibility.
Oh yes, because it needs saying these days, I’m offering the pattern for free, but it is copyrighted. So use it at your pleasure for your own personal use, but you can not sell it, distribute it or items made from it without my express written permission. Don’t post it on your blog, website store or whatnot, but you can refer links here, and please give me credit. Thank y’all for your kindness and consideration. That is all. Exits doors are located in the front and the rear. Please recycle your trash in the receptacles provided and remember to spay or neuter your pets.
(Edited 5-2 to add direct link to pattern and to add that not only can you use the box.net widget, I’ve also added a download page for patterns and whatnot.)
